Transforming Marigold Waste into Sustainable Eco-Paper
At Maritag Biosolution, we believe in turning nature’s by-products into
opportunities for sustainability. Our innovation focuses on upcycling marigold
floral waste—an abundant but underutilized bioresource—into eco-friendly
handmade paper.
Unlike conventional paper-making, we have developed a unique fiber extraction
process tailored to the delicate, pigment-rich petals of marigolds. This allows
us to preserve the natural strength and vibrancy of the fibers while reducing
the environmental footprint of paper production.

Our History
Journey Was Started
Maritag Biosolution was founded with a vision to address two pressing challenges:
- The large-scale disposal of floral waste, which often ends up polluting landfills and water bodies.
- The need for sustainable alternatives to tree-based paper production, which contributes to deforestation.
Our journey began by experimenting with marigold waste collected from temples, events, and local communities. What started as a small-scale research initiative has now grown into a pioneering solution that creates value from waste while protecting the environment.
